A case study of behavior modification for two boys who showed inattentive & disruptive behavior problems in a nursery school

Abstract
On this research, I tested the efficacy of a behavior modification interventions by teachers for two boys who showed inattentive & disruptive behavior problems in a nursery school as a way of educational mediation. Two 7-year-old boys were selected who had behavior problems. These boys enrolled at preschools in Gyoung-Buk province were students in the class of this researcher. The study was conducted the intervention program for two boys with the ABAB typed schedule and then repeated assessment at post & follow-up. Total research period were 6 months from March. 2009 to September 30. 2009. During program activities token system, Premack principle, differential reinforcement & time-out were utilized. In additions, as the educational mediation the researcher did many play-like activities with the boys related to behavior problems such as inattention and impulsiveness.
The results of this research were as follows.
First, behavior modification interventions during play activity applied by teacher was effective in disruptive behavior problems & inattentiveness.
Second, the effect was continued without change at the follow-up point.
Finally, the researcher thought that the harmonious relationship between teacher and child was very important to make these change.
